There are five logical types of entries in the Catalog — equipment, services, accessories, consumables and kits. They differ in their properties and behavior in projects and in the warehouse. In the estimates for equipment and services, you can assign a separate discount.
In the system GOLOVA:
Equipment is a price entity corresponding to the material objects (equipment) that the user rents out. Equipment is what customers see in estimates, invoices, contracts, etc. It is indicated by an icon with the image of a box. The warehouse entity corresponding to material objects is the SKU. Examples of equipment: "JBL SRX112 speaker system", "L'acoustics LA8 amplifier", "RED V-RAPTOR 8K camera", etc.
A service is a price entity corresponding to intangible objects that the user offers to customers for a fee. The service is indicated by an icon with the image of a wrench. Examples of services: "Loading/Unloading", "Installation/Dismantling", "Delivery", "Technician services", "Videographer shift 8h", etc.
Accessories are a price entity corresponding to material objects (equipment) that are not taken into account individually. That is, unlike Equipment, where each object has a separate SKU, Accessories can have one SKU for any number of objects. Examples of Accessories: "Layher O-bolt", "XLR-XLR 5m cable", "Two-channel cable ladder", etc.
Consumable is a price entity corresponding to material objects (equipment) that are not returned to the warehouse after the end of the project. It is indicated by an icon with the image of a barrel. Examples of consumables: "AA batteries", "Wide adhesive tape", "Glycerin for a smoke machine", "Clamps 30cm", etc.
Kit is a price entity consisting of other price entities (Equipment, Services, Consumables). It is not possible to add specific SKUs to the Kit (i.e. a warehouse entity).
To create an entry of any type, select the subsection in which it should be located and click on the plus icon above the Catalog workspace.
