To open the kit card, select the kit not in the tree structure on the left, but in the workspace (the central part of the catalog screen). Like all other catalog entry cards, the Kit card consists of four tabs — Information, Fields, Files, and Links. The last three are identical to the corresponding tabs in the Equipment card, Service card, and Consumable card. The Information tab differs in the area of fields for prices and parameters.
By default, the rental price, estimated cost, and parameters of the Kit are determined as the sum of the prices and parameters of all its components. To modify this data, uncheck the corresponding fields and enter the data manually. Please note that the data you enter manually will only be applied when adding the Kit as a single line item in a project.
Example.
You created a kit that includes ten identical LED spotlights. The catalog rental price for each LED spotlight is 200 euros. Thus, by default, the rental price of the Kit will be calculated as 2,000 euros. To change this, uncheck the box in the Information tab of the Kit card and set a custom price for the Kit. For example, 1,500 euros. Now, when you add this Kit to a project estimate, its price will be 1,500 euros. However, if you add it with itemized components, the estimate will include 10 spotlights at 200 each, resulting in a different total amount.
