Clicking a set in the catalog tree not only reveals the “Composition” section, but also enables the interface for managing SKUs in the workspace. A barcode icon appears in the upper left above the workspace.
By clicking this icon, you can create SKUs for the set currently selected.
After clicking, a “Add” window opens, which is visually and functionally identical to the one used to add a SKU to an Equipment-type entry.
Next:
Enter the number of SKUs equal to the number of new sets currently available in your warehouse and that you want to register in the system;- Fill in the parameters (if known);
- Optionally, add a comment to the created SKUs;
- Click “Add”.
The workspace will display the number of SKUs for this specific set corresponding to the number you entered in the add window.
Set SKU Card
If you select any of the SKUs for this set in the workspace, the SKU card will appear on the left side of the window.
The tabs “Information,” “Fields,” and “Files” are identical to those used in the SKU cards of entries of type Equipment, Consumables, and Accessories.
SKUs Tab
Here, you specify which specific devices are included in the set.
In the “SKU” column, click the plus sign next to each component entry to open the list of available SKUs and assign the appropriate ones to this set.
Note that if you exit the set card and open the SKU list of any entry that was added to this set, the “Location” column will display the word “set” along with the SKU number of the set to which this entry belongs.
Such SKUs cannot be rented out individually — only as part of the set. Accordingly, they are excluded from the list of SKUs available for rental.
